Pipe fitting and Elbow Injection Molds Customer Example
This handle elbow pipe for an intelligent vacuum sweeping machine, which be with snap-fit holes and engravings along lateral side. One end of handle with longer-straight pipe,another end is 80 degree arc shape with internal cone hole. Customer expected the challenged daily output , mold life not less than 1.5 million shots and smooth inner surface(without any mismatch internally) to avoid the abnormal sound or vibration from sweeping machine.

In terms of such big radian (80 degree) on products, daily shot output and mold life, we designed two cavities with a simple gear system for the arc shape end, actuated by a servo motor in centre, another end (longer-straight pipe side) set a slider driven by hydraulic cylinder due to longer undercut. The reason why didn't design crank mechanism system is it will be bigger mold size that need to fit bigger molding machine and high possible to frequently replace the bar linkages when mold works in mass production.

To shorten cycle time and avoid degate, set pin-point gate hot runner without any degate operation and designed cooling circuit to arc slider. Added an hydraulic cylinders at back of arc slider for overload protection of motor and  to eliminate internal mismatch. Customer had highly satisfactory to mold quality and working performance through mass production proven.
